Faced, unfaced, and sound batts
Faced batts carry a vapor barrier for exterior walls and attics. Unfaced go in interior walls or as a second attic layer over existing insulation. And if the goal is a quieter house, sound batts in interior walls and floors cut noise between rooms noticeably. Tell us the job and we’ll bring the right one.
Batt or blown-in - the honest answer
Open framing, go batts. Finished, enclosed attic or wall, go blown-in. Plenty of homes need both: batts in the new addition, blown-in over the old attic. We do the whole job, so we’re not talking you into one because it’s all we sell. See our blow-in insulation for New York if your attic’s already closed up.
