What blown-in insulation actually does
It gets into the spots batts miss. Blown-in fiberglass or cellulose flows into every joist bay and around every pipe and wire, so there’s no cold gap left behind. On a finished home it’s the fastest way to add serious R-value – no tear-out, no drywall work, no disruption downstairs.
Fiberglass or cellulose - which one your attic needs
Both do the job, and they’re not the same. Cellulose gives you more R-value per inch and stops air movement better, which makes it the call for a dry attic where performance per dollar matters most. Fiberglass is lighter, settles less over the years, and handles humidity a little better. We run both. After we look at your attic we’ll tell you straight which one fits, not which one’s convenient for us.
